Ngo VACANCY: INTERNSHIP - RESEARCH ASSISTANT
The Lo Tishkach Initiative is looking for an intern to assist the Research Director in the compilation of reports on legislation and practice related to the protection and preservation of Europe’s Jewish heritage, in addition to administrative and communications-related tasks and other duties as requested.
The successful candidate will have excellent spoken and written English, superb research, analytical and writing skills, and a high level of computer literacy. He/she should demonstrate the ability to organise and take responsibility for their own workload and the willingness to work on a range of tasks. Assertiveness, the confidence to deal with high-level religious and European institutional representatives, and a friendly and professional manner are vital.
Abilities in French or in any Eastern and Central European languages, Polish in particular, would be an asset but are not essential. Applications from candidates with prior experience of working for an international organisation and/or in a research-related capacity would be welcomed. Working hours are from 9.30 to 16.30, Monday to Thursday. The post will be based at the organisation’s offices in Brussels. The initial contract is for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. Interns receive a monthly stipend.
